It has not been a dry summer here in Austria, in fact, it has rained almost every day. Today we had a thunderstorm and I noticed that the church bells were ringing. They normally ring for services, but this was not a normal service time. I asked an Austrian friend about it and she said that it is Wetterläuten,
"we are asking God that he not let it rain too much"
